After suffering for acne for my entire adult life, I one day decided I would systematically figure out what helped and what didn't. One of my experiments was to stop drinking milk. Right away the inflammation in my pimples went away, and then slowly but surely my acne cleared up. Apparently the milk protein casein can aggravate acne, sometimes more than in others. With me it was dramatic. So in response to this new knowledge I came up with the following concoction to help with my acne (along with avoiding cow's milk).
Take about a cup of raw goat's milk (not cow's milk!) bring to a near boil on the stove (but don't boil it). Add about a 1/2 a teaspoon of turmeric and a 1/2 a teaspoon of local, raw honey. Let it cool if you need and then drink it down; it tastes pretty good. Repeat this each night before bed.
Between avoiding cow's milk and drinking this recipe, by acne has improved dramatically. It may not work for everyone, but it could work for you as it did for me. Worth a try!
