Homemade scrub, toner & moisturizer

I have had acne for a long time - like 5 or 6 years. I tried just about everything - including Proactive, which made my face dry and itchy, without doing anything for my acne. Recently I've really gotten into making my own face products, for a few reasons: it is cheap, it is easy, it is good for my skin, and I know exactly what all the ingredients are.
So first, an exfoliator.
Mix sugar and lemon juice together. That's it. It's the simplest thing, but I absolutely love it. I use organic sugar and fresh lemon juice. I know you're only supposed to exfoliate a few times a week, but I use this just about every night, and it makes my skin feel super clean and I have been breaking out a lot less.
Toner:
I just used organic green tea, and some essential oils that help with acne and scarring (I have a lot of scarring). You have to shake it up before you use it, as the oils separate from the water. I think I used lavender, helichrysum (also known as Everlasting oil), and I can't remember what other one. Research oils first to find the best ones for your skin type. Apply with a cotton ball.
And for a moisturizer, I took organic jojoba oil and added lavender, helichrysum, and I think geranium. Always use 100% pure, organic essential oils. I use oils from Young Living. My skin has really cleared up since I've been using this stuff. (Especially the lemon juice & sugar - I think that's my favorite.)
Additional things:
Honey mask. I've only done this a few times 'cause it's really messy, but honey is supposed to be really good for your skin. (I've read that you can add cinnamon & nutmeg; I haven't tried this yet.)
Drinking a lot of water. This is something I still have to work on.
Try to keep your hair out of your face, as having dirty, oily hair touching your face all day can contribute to acne.
Change your pillowcase regularly.
Skin brushing! I've been dry skin brushing for almost a month, and it makes my skin feel really smooth. Be careful not to brush too close to your eyes though, as the skin there is very sensitive.
Last but DEFINITELY not least - EAT RIGHT! Lots of raw vegetables. Leafy greens - kale, spinach, etc. And tomatoes - they are good for healing scars. Cut out pop, candy, processed sugar; all junk food, basically.
So, you really don't need to spend a fortune on harsh treatments that are full of chemicals and cost you a ton. Sometimes the simplest things are the best. :)
Hope some of these tips help someone else! :)
