Salt water face wash

One of the big problems I've always had with washing my face was having to balance the need to remove oil, while at the same time being gentle on the acne and not drying out the skin. Most soaps (and definitely any alcohol based stuff) definitely remove all the oils from my skin, but then this seems to aggravate my acne which comes back in force even worse. Also the really "gentle" acne products out there don't inflame my skin, but they don't really cut through the oil.

I've found that rinsing my face with warm, salty water is a good solution. This seems to remove excess oil from my skin without drying it out. Also, this method is gentle on my acne and doesn't inflame or redden the acne. I usually keep a basin next to my sink and will go in and splash saltwater on my face and rinse with it a few times per day. Very important, though: be sure to rinse your face afterwards with pure water or the salt will stay on the face and will dry your skin out in that case.

Good luck everyone!

Salt and . . . .wow!

I am 29 and have struggled with acne since I was 13, I have currently been spending $140 on a medication for staph . . .it did help, but also dried out my skin. A friend recently shared she uses sea salt and Planet dish soap in warm water, it is used as a toner before bed and even under makeup during the day. I have been using this for the last 2 days and I can already see a HUGE difference. My skin is more plump, the pores are not irritated or infected, and the scars are even fading! For those of you who have combination skin that is perpetually breaking out, try this!!!!! I've tried just about every over the counter medication for acne with no success. I am going to get married in a month and was dreading going to bed with stuff on my face, haha, now I am so excited that my skin is looking better than EVER.

planet dish soap?

Isn't it a dishwater liquid. Wont the ingredients would be too harsh and too strong for the face?

salt water face wash

Use Epson salt it doen't dry out your skin and if it does after you wash just put lotion on it.
